During the growing season we send out a weekly email with news from the farm, what produce & flowers we have available, and how to buy from us.

Locally Grown Vegetables and Cut Flowers

Good Turn Farm, owned and operated by Kevin and Annelie, is an offshoot of Kevin’s 5th generation family farm. We grow vegetables and cut flowers. We love working with our farm’s environment to bring beautiful, local produce to our community.

How to order & pick up on our farm:

You can order through our online store and pay with credit card at check out or pay cash/check when you pick up. The ordering deadline is 11pm on Thursdays. You can select pick up on Friday (noon-dark) or Saturday (7am-dark)

When you arrive to pick up you can park on the parking pad in front of the barn and walk down to the cooler or if the ground is dry you can feel free to drive up to the cooler but it is fairly bumpy. Your order will be in either a produce bag or paper bag (occasionally a cardboard box for those big orders!) with your name and total. If you're paying cash or check, you can leave your payment in the cashbox in the middle section of the cooler. If the online store doesn't work for you, we can still take orders via email at info@goodturnfarm.com.

Vegetables

We sell most of our produce within 20 miles of our farm to local restaurants like the Harbor View Cafe and Community Crust. Pepin's locally owned grocery store, E & S Fresh Market also stocks our produce regularly. We also sell through the online Red Wing Farmers Market and Wabasha Farmers Market. If you're interested in buying from us directly and picking up on the farm, please sign up for our email list above. We send out a weekly list of what we have available, you place your order via email and pick up on the farm.

Flowers

Less travel means longer lasting blooms in the vase. We grow a variety of annual and perennial flowers that are available by the bunch, in designer bunches, bulk, and for custom wedding designs. We also offer an 8 week flower share of a weekly bouquet (more information below). Annelie worked as a floral designer in a flower shop for 4 years and has been doing on-farm floral design with our flowers for 8 years. Please fill out our Wedding Flower Form to receive an estimate or email Annelie at annelie@goodturnfarm.com for more information.

Farmers

Kevin and Annelie starting dating in 2013 and then over the course of three years started a farm, got married, and had our daughter. We met in graduate school where we were both studying insect ecology and we love watching up close and personal as the interrelationships between plants, animals, and the environment play out in our little corner of the world. Starting a farm is a huge challenge but it's one that we continue to feel drawn to year after year for the beauty, complexity, community, and food that comes from it.

Good Turn Farm Flower Shares

Flower shares will be medium size, wrapped bouquets every week from Mid July through Mid September. You can choose to pick up on the farm ($136 + tax) or have your bouquet delivered within Stockholm, Pepin, or Maiden Rock village boundaries ($206 + tax). Growing beautiful flowers makes us happy, provides valuable pollinator habitat, and brings beauty to our customers! Similar to more commonplace Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares of vegetables, flower shares are a great way to support local agriculture. Please visit the sign up form for more information or to sign up. You can also email Annelie directly at at annelie@goodturnfarm.com to sign up.
